A beautiful apartment with amazing views.

Fantastic location just a short walk into Dartmouth and parking is a real bonus. Housekeeping were fantastic and even though we were allowed into the apartment early due to a back injury it was immaculate. I loved the towel art and extra little touches made us feel very welcome. The apartment is well equipped with top quality furnishings. My only wish would be to have two comfy chairs in the window so I could sit and watch the world go by on the river. However we have booked again for next year. Thanks to the owners for the lovely bottle of wine. Also thank you to the staff at Coast and Country cottages

A great place to have a wonderful and memorable holiday, cleanliness of the property is first class, features and size is excellent.

Location is second to none, parking just outside secure entrance to property. We have been numerous times and it is our first choice every time.

9, is such a beautiful apartment. Not just because of it’s stunning location and views, but all the furniture and accessories are the best quality, a lot of thought has gone into the design and layout to ensure your holiday is luxurious and enjoyable. There were even a couple of treats waiting for us, which is always nice to receive. The private parking space is just outside by the main front door, with a lift (and stairs) to the second floor, which is great as as we didn’t have to worry about my elderly father joining us and having to climb the stairs! It’s also an easy really enjoyable walk along Dartmouths picturesque embankment to the restaurants, shops and ferries, so no need to worry about taking your car out. We’ve stayed in several apartments at Dart Marina now (which are all lovely & share the same views) but No. 9, for us, is just beautiful and definitely the one we want to keep returning to. Xx

Problems with sitting room electric curtains not closing.

Attempts to repair by an electrician resulted in the very heavy curtains being laid out on the sitting room floor for the duration of our stay. To the owners credit they were very quick to agree to some fair compensation. That apart, the apartment was very conformable and very well equipped. It had amazing views and was own a great location.

This is a fabulous Apartment with a lovely view of the River Dart.

Everything we needed was provided for. A short level stroll into the lovely town of Dartmouth is a bonus. Unfortunately we did have have two issues. A saucepan still had food in it so this had been missed when cleaned. The second was a larger problem. There was a smell from the bed! When l stripped the bedding on leaving day l discovered very smelly stained pillows! The bedding and protectors are all clean but the pillows weren't. They needed washing or to be honest thrown away. I was so disappointed as everything was spotless in the Apartment. I'm sure this will be rectified asap. I have marked down on the comfort as the sofa and armchairs weren't comfortable for us but we are of a mature age so that won't be the same for everyone. We would recommend this property because overall it has lots of bonuses.

The Dartmouth office and local staff continue to be excellent, responsive, friendly.

The Sykes Chester function is however a complete waste of time, an overhead in cost and a meaningless delay in everything. They lack any local knowledge and their communications either delay everything or don’t provide any purpose. We encountered a number of maintenance issues during our stay, all of which were resolved sympathetically by the local team but it did mean a number of interruptions to the stay. We are grateful to the property owner for the credit to our account. …. As for the accommodation, the kitchen layout is poor compared to the other apartments and the lighting arrangements are a nuisance, the lounge and dining area is difficult to heat to a comfortable temperature as there are only two radiators for that whole area when there should be at least four. We did appreciate the fact there were actually more of the basic essentials in the kitchen than on previous stays: A roll of bin liners, hand wash in the kitchen, a bottle of washing up liquid and a pair of oven gloves may seem small detail but they are essentials which Sykes don’t appear to think are expected !! Other than that we enjoyed our stay in Dartmouth as usual and will be back in November.

Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. Lovely views of the marina, passing steam train, yachts and other waterfront delights.

Bit on issue with Sykes central office and the inability to speak to anyone when trying to make payment of balance - too automated and not user friendly.

The Dart Marina Complex is an exceptional destination, it feels as if you’re in the South of France.

High standard of accommodation and comfort (as expected) with great view.

A very nice apartment which we plan to rebook. One comment is the ensuite bathroom door does not close (as mentioned to agents on departure).

The accommodation was amazing.

Such a beautiful luxury apartment overlooking the River Dart. The highlight of the day was watching the steam train come in. The stay was very relaxing and the peaceful surroundings made the holiday extra special.

This apartment is absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed staying here.

It was spotless, spacious, comfortable and in the perfect location. It is decorated beautifully and has everything and more that you could need. The view from the apartment was perfect, watching the steam train go by across the river, seeing all the beautiful boats and we even saw a seal outside in the water. The only thing I would recommend is some blinds on the bedroom windows for a bit of privacy but apart from this it was perfect. It is just a few minutes walk from everything and Dartmouth is one of the nicest places we have visited with plenty to do. We would definitely return.

Luxury. Fantastic views. Already booked 3 weeks for next year

No 9 Dart Marina is a fabulous well equipped apartment with everything you require for a self catering holiday.

It’s decorated to a very high standard and was very clean. Its location is ideal being an easy walk into Dartmouth town and providing a designated car space just to the back of the apartment. If there was anything I would suggest to improve visitors stay it would be a blind to be fitted in the Master Bedroom. This would greatly improve not only privacy but light as well. I would also have liked some more Dishwasher tablets (there were only 3 for a 7 night stay!) a little thing I know, but its the little things that matter. All the staff at the office in Dartmouth were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We did report that the fridge and freezer were in serious need of defrosting and they offered to send someone in to do this. We declined, but wanted them to be aware that it needed doing before the next guests arrived. We will definitely return.

Extremely well equipped. Beds and bedding super comfy and high quality. The view is incredible. Good position too, short walk, approx 10 mins, to town centre where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend number 9!

An unrivalled location and an extremely well appointed property.

It is clearly very well maintained and had everything we could wish for in a holiday let. Our one gripe is no recognition of our loyalty as returning customers. This was approximately our 13th stay with “Coast & Country” ( or Sykes) but the original incentive scheme is not honoured and there is no form of any recognition/ appreciation for our custom.

What more can one say other than you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this apartment. We are already looking forward to staying here again.

An outstanding waterside property, and my wife Jenny judges everything on Claridge's, the top London hotel (when we can afford to stay there).

Fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. Location spot-on. We were surprised how big this apartment was (palacial for two, well apportioned for four). It's on the second floor (two flights of stairs) but there's a lift! It actually has stairs upto a well converted attic with an extra TV or quiet room. Well equipped kitchen and all the things you need such as iron and board, hoover, hairdryer etc. We weren't bothered by noise, even though we're directly opposite the upper ferry. You can literarily lean out of your indoor balcony and look down at the river, from a height that gives superb views up river, but no view of the harbour. The main bed was very comfy (and Jenny really appreciates her beds), but we did read reviews that complained the bed was too hard). We thought it reasonably firm and very comfortable. You get a parking space, and a quarter mile walk to the centre of town. We rate this as very good value for money, because we love being close to the water. We loved it so much we've booked it for next year.

Blackout blinds in bedroom due to lights outside.

Throws in lounge would have been a nice touch as we definitely would have used them had there been some . Also a couple of pens in a drawer would have been good to write in guest book. An extra toilet roll per bathroom and a few coffe pods would also have been nice but apart from these minor issues we had fantastic time and the apartment was brilliant

We have used this apartment for several years.

There were some improvements through this winter and it’s now even more special. The booking through Sykes is much better and a lot more organised even though they have increased the rental substantially for the week we normally book. We have already reserved our week for next year and will hopefully do so for many years to come. Highly recommended.

The whole holiday was so excellent that we have booked for 3 weeks in 2020.

Well equipped , warm and high spec apartment. Within a very short walk into Dartmouth and a great choice of restaurants,boat trips, steam trains etc. Would totally recommend.

Very nice, modern appartment - excellent view. Fast WiFi.

Great location with views over the water. Could have benefited from a little maintenance - some lights were out, there was a leak under the sink in the bathroom, and if there are extractor fans in the bathrooms they didn't seem to be working. There was no tea towel so we had to buy one. This is a very expensively equipped apartment in an prestigious block, but the availability of car parking was what decided us to book!

Dart Marina was a fabulous apartment - spacious, stylishly furnished, immaculate and with a simply stunning view. The 4 of us spent much of our week with the window fully open, gazing out at the view and fascinated by all the activity on the river. It was wonderful - I sense we will return!

A fabulous place to stay as always. No9 was sumptuous, yet homely & comfortable. Everything needed for a self-catering holiday was considered. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms top rate, & the lounge/dining-room space superb for easy living. We were blessed with good weather again, & as well as enjoying the apartment & its spectacular views, it was also nice to be part of the Dart Marina complex & to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. A wonderful week.

Fourth time staying in this apartment, we love it. The best feature is the living window which fully opens to create a balcony effect. The view is amazing and it's very relaxing watching the ferry cross in the evening

This apartment on the second floor is immaculate and beautifully furnished, the view is fantastic 'a wonderful changing view all day and evening' we didn't put the television on once, far too mesmerised by the boats on the river dart and the binoculars a great addition. Great easy flat access into town and wonderful to have parking outside. It does have extremely firm mattresses and the master bedroom currently does not have black out blinds or linings and are at the back of the property above the parking area and directly opposite the hotel apartments. The apartment access and parking is shared with the hotel service area and opposite the hotels apartments and spa, on occasion a little noisy for us (but then we live in a very quite and dark area on the South Coast) The higher ferry is close by and useful should you wish to take a taxi into Brixham - this is not noisy at night and great fun to watch, a short walk along the esplanade takes you to all the key areas for catching the river tours or bus trips. Fantastic location.

Dart Marina is an excellent location and No 9 is a real joy to stay in. Quality furniture and fittings and a wonderful view from the window. Some self catering units are short in some departments, not No 9. I counted 9 mirrors in the apartment besides the ones in the bathroom and ensuite! I thoroughly recommend this unit particularly for a special holiday

This apartment was a fabulous place to stay. It was plush, spacious and extremely well designed. It was a pleasure everyday to sit and have breakfast looking out directly onto the marina. The location was excellent, central to everything in Dartmouth.. The spa was an addition that came in very handy for the relatively rainy week we stayed. We would have given an excellent rating, but felt that the beds let the property down. As two couples staying in this apartment, we both agreed that the beds were petty uncomfortable. They look lovely, but they are awful to lie on. A great place to stay should always make the beds the number one priority if it wants happy returning customers. However, we did have a happy holiday and thought the apartment and its location was beautiful despite this.

This apartment is lovely ( on our second or third visit), and recent improvements to the main window in the living area, ie replacing seals, is ideal.
