From the secure allocated parking space enter directly into this iconic building and be welcomed into your new abode. An open-plan living space will greet you, flooded with natural light through the full height sliding doors, overlooking the turquoise waters and golden sand. With a well-equipped kitchen, prepare meals to be enjoyed around the breakfast bar, dining table for four, or alfresco upon the private full length balcony, whilst there's plenty of plush seating indoors to sink into with a good book.

A king-size bedroom with en-suite is on offer, along with a twin bedroom, both benefitting from Smart TVs and access to the balcony, with a sleek bathroom completing the apartment.

Once you're ready to explore, take the lift down to the restaurants and bars located on the ground floor and walk along the promenade, passing the Princess Theatre to visit the Marina, further shops, eateries, and taverns of Torquay, before heading down to the beach, touring the local museum, or following the coastal path around to Meadfoot Beach. Travelling south, enjoy a day out at Paignton, with its bustling pier, sweeping beachfront, and the Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, sure to impress all types of visitors.

Apartment was brilliant as were the views over Torbay, however it was spoilt by the incessant yapping of dogs, together with the traffic noise which meant the patio doors onto the balcony had to remain shut.

A home from home, its always a treat to stay here.

I was called on the day of arrival to let me know the property was ready earlier than expected which was a nice touch. The only suggestion to improve the experience would be to have a local number to call for issues, rather than the number for Sykes, as it took some time to get through

Unfortunately we are unable to recommend your service to anyone.

Why? Fair question. After spending time in the area, talking to locals, and other travelers staying in other hotels, it became patently obvious to us that we paid an exorbitant price for our stay. The bulk of this excess came from Sykes: your booking fee was astronomical and predatory. The listing failed to acknowledge the excessive noise and traffic immediately outside our balcony, in so much we were compelled to keep the doors closed. The beds were okay, but the remaining furniture was unacceptable for anyone over 5’ tall, or aged. There was no: concierge, no restaurant, no bar, no spa or exercise room, all features to be expected for the money we spent. No apologies for our candor, but you keep asking for a review, so now you have it. End of review.

As such, amenities such as a concierge, restaurant, bar, spa, or gym were neither advertised nor included in the accommodation offering. We always encourage guests to review the property description carefully prior to booking to ensure it meets their requirements. With regard to pricing, all costs, including our booking fee, are clearly displayed before a reservation is confirmed, allowing guests to make an informed decision before proceeding. We also note your comments regarding noise and traffic. While perceptions of noise can vary between guests, we will review the listing to ensure the property description remains as accurate as possible. Your comments regarding the furniture have likewise been noted and will be shared with the property owner for consideration. This beautiful apartment, with its spaciousness, airiness, views, location etc.

, did not disappoint. In fact, it surpassed our expectations. We loved the contemporary, uncluttered interior and soft soothing colour scheme. The sweeping views of the bay could be seen from every room in the apartment (except the two bathrooms) via the floor to ceiling/wall to wall patio doors in each room. The kitchen was very well equipped, and a few essentials including milk, were provided - oh, and a bottle of wine, ready chilled, which was most welcome! The pair of binoculars were very useful and provided much extra entertainment. We spent many an hour on the spacious, sunny, south/west facing balcony… all meals and drinks were eaten out there, from breakfast as the sun started to come up, through to late evening as we watched the sun go down … all whilst ‘watching and listening to the world go by’ below us… such a changing landscape. Once the patio doors were closed at the end of the day, any noise was cancelled out. The beds (always a concern when staying away from home) were extremely comfortable and ensured a good nights sleep. And what a view to wake up to each morning, as well as the joy of breathing in the fresh sea air! The location was perfect for us, two elderlies, who walked to the marina and town one way, and to Torre Abbey and the railway station in the other direction, all along wide paved areas running alongside the ‘front’. The Victorian era Rock Walk, starting just behind the apartment block, was an easy walk (and descent) and provided even more spectacular views of the bay, as well as the iconic apartment block building. Just a few minutes walk to the bus stop, very regular buses took us to St.Marychurch/Babbacombe and Paignton. One day, we took a train to Totnes and on another, the ferry to Brixham. There was so much more we could have done but our week passed quickly and we basically ran out of time. Our car stayed parked in the secure undercover car park for the whole week as we just didn’t need to use it. The local Tesco Express is a pleasant, easy 15 minute walk away. Early in our stay, we did have an issue. We contacted Sykes on one of the numbers they provided on our holiday paperwork. The person we spoke with was very helpful and said he would get someone out as soon as possible to resolve. In much less than an hour, I had a knock on the door and a lovely gentleman, who I think was/is a caretaker/manager of the holiday lets, introduced himself and managed to put right the issue. Well done and thank you to the Sykes team! Overall, a fantastic week here and I would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends. Thank you to the owner(s) for letting out your superb property for others to enjoy. I hope that someday I can return.
