The property

Cobalt Cottage is a remarkable, semi-detached duplex apartment resting in the South Devon town of Dartmouth.

Within easy reach of the River Dart and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cobalt Cottage is a delightful retreat for a family of up to eight, wanting to discover what this beautiful area of Devon has to offer.

Upon arrival at the cottage, you will notice the luxurious touch of underfloor heating throughout, which you can control in each room to suit your preferences.

Descend the stairs to find a stylish, open-plan living space on the lower ground floor, where you can kick off your shoes and stretch out on the blue sofas, as you watch your favourite movie on the large Smart TV.

The foodie of the group will be delighted by the integrated appliances inhabiting the kitchen, including a dishwasher and built-in microwave, where they can rustle up delicious meals, to be enjoyed at the dining table.

After dinner, freshen up in the nearby shower room, a space also hosting a handy washing machine and tumble dryer, before heading upstairs to find three thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms.

The bedrooms consist of a double bunk room, and two fabulous king-size rooms enjoying coastal touches; the bedrooms share the ground floor with an excellent bathroom, where you can relish a moment of peace and quiet in the p-shaped bath.

For those days where you want to host a barbecue, make your way downstairs to the rear terrace where you can enjoy those grilled delights in the sun.

Dartmouth is not only home to several pubs, eateries and shops, but houses some fabulous attractions for you to explore, including the idyllic Darmouth Harbour, where you can sail across the River to Kingswear for the day, along with a fascinating Museum and the Tudor fortress of Bayard's Cove.

Be sure to venture further south to find Dartmouth Castle, where you can embark on the Gallants Bower trail, before rewarding yourself with a spot of sunbathing on Sugary Cove Beach.

Why not venture along the South Western Coastal Path, where you can wander through the National Trust Nature Reserve of Little Dartmouth, and stop at Stoke Fleming's Blackpool Sands Beach for an afternoon filled with sun and sand.

The bustling towns of Totnes, Paignton and Brixham aren't far and play host to a great range of activities, from beaches and golf to a fantastic zoo in Paington.

For your next Devon adventure, choose Cobalt Cottage.

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
