    “We had a lovely stay at Dancing Beggars.”

    The property is extremely well presented and clean. Quality bedding and towels. Easy, fairly level less than 5min walk to Dartmouth shops, cafés restaurants and harbour. The bedrooms are on 1st and 2nd floor accessed by narrow spiral staircases with handrail, aesthetically pleasing, but would be difficult to manage by people with mobility issues. Super modern bathroom on 1st floor. Kitchen is well equipped although there isn't a freezer compartment in the fridge which would've been useful. The ...

Super modern bathroom on 1st floor. Kitchen is well equipped although there isn't a freezer compartment in the fridge which would've been useful. The only real downside to this property was the noise from deliveries and trollies rattling across the M&S car park, which the property backs onto, between 5.30am and 7am every day. There is free nearby on street car parking overnight from 6pm to 9am but spaces are limited, and then 2hrs max with 2hrs no return from 9am to 6pm. Otherwise there is an adjacent paying car park.

Return inside as it gets dark to wash the day away in a chic bathroom, enjoy a long soak or energising shower, finish your essential skincare routine, and then retire to one of the two impeccably furnished double bedrooms, each of which has a Smart TV for a tranquil place to unwind.

You're in for a treat when it comes to touring; start the day with a trip to the Dartmouth Museum to learn more about the area's history before enjoying a picnic in the Royal Avenue Gardens.

Take a stroll along the embankment taking in the dramatic views of the River Dart and Dartmouth Harbour before visiting the majestic Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove Beach—a serene location to lose yourself in a book or paddle in the waters and explore Bayard's Cove Fort or Warfleet Creek.

Take advantage of the many walking, biking, and hiking trails that wind through the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or travel to Torquay to visit the Tessier Gardens, Babbacombe Model Village, and Babbacombe Beach.

You can easily access the vibrant city of Exeter from here, which is home to an astounding number of bars, eateries, and cafes in addition to the magnificent Exeter Cathedral.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.

This property is only accessible by foot. Steep winding staircase with hand rail provided and is not suitable for young families
