It was let down by not being clean on arrival, with dirty towels and the hoover left out and the dishwasher items not unloaded so I had to tidy up as I arrived. I contacted Sykes about this but just received a “I hope everything’s now been resolved” generic response which was a little odd. Then I had an unexpected visitor come into the flat the next morning, which was unsettling as I was staying on my own for 4 nights and no one had contacted me to say someone would be coming to clean ...

I contacted Sykes about this but just received a “I hope everything’s now been resolved” generic response which was a little odd. Then I had an unexpected visitor come into the flat the next morning, which was unsettling as I was staying on my own for 4 nights and no one had contacted me to say someone would be coming to clean during my stay. Again I contacted Sykes with no response, which was disappointing as they say they respond to WhatsApp messages within 24hrs. I’ve booked with Sykes before with family so was confident to use them, but I’d be reluctant to again given the poor customer service. Otherwise the flat itself was lovely and in a great location to explore.
