  • “The Apartment is a well located first floor flat very convenient for the town and its facilities.”

    The property is bright, very clean and well appointed. There is however no view of the river and there were builders at the back of the property for that early morning call.

Fantastic shower in the ensuite (not so good in the other bathroom) and excellent kitchen equipment. Extraordinarily there is no coffee table.

The property

The Apartment is located on Newcomen Road, within a short walk of the centre of the historic naval town of Dartmouth.

The town possesses a number of award-winning restaurants, delightful boutiques, art galleries, cosy cafés, and has beautiful gardens within easy reach - visitors can also enjoy boat trips along the delightful River Dart from the nearby waterfront, whilst the beaches of Start Bay and the South Devon Coast Path are just a short drive away.

With its significant historical interest, Dartmouth will take part in the Mayflower 400 celebrations from 2019 and Bayards Cove, and it's fort, are just a short walk from The Apartment. This centrally located and stylishly appointed apartment has stairs leading to the private entrance on the first floor.

The sitting/dining/kitchen area is a bright and airy open-plan room, beautifully furnished, and providing modern integrated appliances to include dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There are two bedrooms, the master of which benefits from an en-suite shower room and a second bedroom with a single bed.

A second shower room is equipped with a modern suite.

A sofa bed in the living room is available on request at the time of booking, accommodating one guest (four guests in total). To the rear, accessed via communal steps, is the enclosed rear garden.

Arranged over two terraced levels with furniture on both, this area provides river glimpses and is an ideal space for al fresco dining.

Outdoor seating is provided. An annual parking permit for one car, is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to available spaces).

This permit also includes access to, and parking at, the Dartmouth Park and Ride, which can also accommodate additional cars.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
