“No local information provided by the owner - e.”

G places to eat/visit. Or what is right on your doorstep with the foot paths etc. No washing line to dry clothes, no tumble dryer either. Just small clothes horse for 6 people. Switch on hob been turned off in a floor level cupboard but no information left to check this switch if it didn’t work. Left us without a hob for a few days until Coast and Cottages told us where to look. Don’t think the beds are a king and double size. Felt much smaller and the ‘double’ wasn’t big ...

Switch on hob been turned off in a floor level cupboard but no information left to check this switch if it didn’t work. Left us without a hob for a few days until Coast and Cottages told us where to look. Don’t think the beds are a king and double size. Felt much smaller and the ‘double’ wasn’t big enough for two adults to comfortably sleep. Also heavy tog duvets on the beds even though start of summer months. The ‘king’ made so much noise whenever anyone turned over that it woke people up. Same with the floorboards - made so much noise if anyone moved about it woke others up. Not enough side tables in living room for drinks - if on blue sofa nowhere to place drink within reach. Parking - was a real issue. Seems a free for all! Never any space to actually park in the designated space/s and also people parking very close/blocking people in. Very clean and nicely decorated and the building and gardens around are lovely though.

Thank you for your valuable input which is always useful. The information pack is currently being updated and we will supply Coast & Country with a PDF version to send with the booking confirmation. As per the cottage specification there is no tumble drier and we will also make it clear in the specification that there is no washing line . We did point out to Coast and Country the location of the switch as soon as we were informed of the issue with the hob and advised that this should be checked. We assume this had been mistakenly or accidently switched off by previous guests & we apologise for the inconvenience. We can confirm the beds are standard king size and double size beds and we note your preference for a lighter duvet. The frame of the king sized bed had been tightened up recently but it seems that it has worked loose & we will attend to this. Apologies again if this disturbed your sleep. Regarding the floorboards this is a barn conversion and the boards may be considered the downside of a character property. There are 2 side tables in the lounge. We are sorry for the issues you experienced in relation to parking. Usually there are plenty of spaces but it seems this was a particularly busy week . Property Owner
