“The house itself was lovely, however we booked through 'Homes To Go', and nowhere on the listing did it mention about the steep driveway until after we had paid (a late booking so no chance of getting refund).”

We could not get our car onto the driveway, never mind up it, but the gentleman who lives next door couldn't have been more helpful guiding us. We had to leave our car on the road for the duration of our stay, which isn't a huge problem, but anyone with a slight mobility issue would really struggle. We could not get our car onto the driveway, never mind up it, but the gentleman who lives next door couldn't have been more helpful guiding us. We had to leave our car on the road for the duration of our stay, which isn't a huge problem, but anyone with a slight mobility issue would really struggle. My husband is a pensioner with a few respiratory issues but generally good health, we were going to bring my 92year old Mum, she uses a wheelchair but we wouldn't have been able to get that up the drive either. She had felt unwell so decided not to come, which was a blessing once we realised. Had we booked directly through Sykes, we would have been made aware before booking of any issues we might face. To summarise, house was lovely but we wouldn't stay again purely because of the parking situation.

I am so sorry about the inconvenience. We would definitely get Sykes to update the information regarding the property and guidelines on all platforms affiliated with Sykes. Regarding parking we always advise all guests that there is an option of parking on top of or bottom of the driveway depending on the size of the engine of your car and the heights from the ground as lower cars will struggle or park on adjacent streets. A spacious kitchen offers the chance for a cook to take the reins for the night.

Upstairs, you will find a king-size bedroom, a double room, and a bunk room, with views of the seaside beckoning you to feel the waves crash against your toes in the sand.

Close by, there are plenty of shops for any essentials, and there is a chance to have a drink or two at The Coach House, which is less than a mile from your cottage.

Of course, Paignton has plenty of beaches to let the day take you away by basking in the sun, but it doesn’t have to just be building sandcastles for the kids—The Geoplay Park will keep them entertained for hours before a trip to the Paignton Zoo Environmental Park.

An easy walk through the town centre after a non-stop day should lead you to a variety of restaurants to satisfy your cravings.

If you can possibly get enough of Paignton, Torquay will be shouting your name to take part in some Torquay watersports or Funfish Trips & Pleasure Cruises to spot any sea creatures in the wild.

If water adventures aren’t your thing, take a step back in time at Torquay's Dinosaur World.

Dartmouth is another option for a lovely day out for a coastal walk to soak in the views of Little Dartmouth.

Woodlands Family Theme Park is ready and waiting to give you an adrenaline-filled day, or, for a more relaxed experience, explore the history of Dartmouth Castle.
