    Myself and my husband had a wonderful few days away from the hectic farm life! Thank you so much! The property was faultless! Has everything you need, very clean and very tidy! The added extra of the enclosed garden made it much easier with the dogs! Such a beautiful location! We will be back again to visit next year for sure! Thank you! ☺️

1 Camperdown Lodge is a delightful single-storey property resting in the seaside town of Salcombe, ideal for a family looking for a coastal getaway from which to explore the wonders of Devon.

With a light and airy atmosphere, 1 Camperdown Lodge encourages you to make yourself at home and offers a kitchen/diner outfitted with all of the contemporary styling and ample amenities needed to make your stay a delight.

Here you can cook up a storm and dine together, toasting to your holiday with a glass of your favourite beverage.

As the evening wears on, head into the sitting room and enjoy an evening of relaxation, and in the warmer months, throw open the patio doors and head out into the rear patio, an enclosed space ideal for breakfast in the sunshine as your four-legged companion reclines beside you.

When sleep calls, freshen up in a stylish bathroom with the option of a warm soak in the tub or a shower, before cosying up for the night in one of the two well-presented bedrooms, choosing between a king-size with handy en-suite shower room and a twin.

Take a stroll downhill into Salcombe which is a fantastic and popular seaside location, offering a selection of cafes offering tasty food, restaurants, and pubs, as well as convenience stores for your holiday essentials.

Browse the wide range of independent shops or visit the local bakery where a delicious selection of breads, pasties and sandwiches are on offer.

Try The Victoria Inn, The Braai Guy or The Pasty Shack, and there is also a local museum, harbourside walks, bike hire, water sports opportunities and a stunning sandy beach for guests to enjoy.

There are many beautiful walks along the coastline, passing pretty beaches such as Lannacombe Beach, Soar Mill Cove and South Milton Sands, and there is a golf course at Thurlestone where guests can try out a round or two.

Check out the wildlife and scenery throughout the South Devon Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visit Paignton where there is a zoo, Totnes with its historic castle, and the lovely seaside town of Dartmouth.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

Note: The living accommodation in the property is on one level, but there are steps up to the front garden to the entrance.

The twin beds can be made as a double 5 foot bed please request two weeks before arrival.
