“Positives - Great location — very close to the town centre, shops and restaurants.”

    - Spacious property — four bedrooms, two bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet; large eat‑in kitchen, roomy living room and a garden. - Parking provided. - Clean and well supplied — everything was clean on arrival and there was soap in every bathroom, clean towels, washing‑up liquid, a new sponge and a few dishwasher tablets. - Very quiet — the area felt peaceful (we visited off season). - Nice views from some of the windows. Negatives - Parking discrepancy — the listing advertised two parking spaces but we could only find one. Off season this wasn’t a problem, but it could be an issue in busier periods. - Damaged cookware — many of the non‑stick pans were worn and unusable. We managed with one stainless steel pan and a glass tray, but I recommend replacing damaged non‑stick items with stainless steel or glass for safety. - Intermittent hot water — the hot water ran for a couple of minutes then went cold. Plumbers were sent but the problem persisted, so showers were lukewarm at best; this is tolerable in summer but it was unpleasant in cold weather. - Difficult communication with the letting team — all calls go through a central call centre and are then redirected to the local office, which caused long hold times (once nearly an hour) and made simple tasks like arranging out‑of‑hours key collection unnecessarily stressful. Overall The property is good and has excellent potential. If the parking is clarified, the cookware replaced, the hot water issue fixed and local contact options improved, this would be an excellent holiday stay.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay and thank you for your comments both positive and negative. In regards to the parking, there is two parking spaces but they are one behind the other next to the property. Thank you for the notes on the cookware we will take a look at these and replace as needed. There are currently plumbers working to fix the issue with the hot water. Apologies you had issues getting through to us here in Salcombe, I believe on your previous visit to one of the other properties we did provide you with our local team's email address so you could arrange out of hours key collection and ask any questions directly to us but we appreciate how frustrating it can be when you are on hold to speak to someone. We hope you enjoyed your visit and look to come back to the area again soon. Property Owner
