    “After a 9 hour drive during Storm Claudia we were delighted to arrive at the apartment and find it cosy and warm with handy access from the parking slot to the property.”

    We did drive past the block several times in the dark, not realising that the parking bays were situated behind the building and not actually on the street (accessed via a narrow entrance between the buildings). The living/dining room was spacious with comfortable seating alongside a fully equipped kitchen and everything was spotlessly clean as were both bathrooms. The double bed was also extremely comfortable. Despite the cold weather the apartment was at a pleasant temperature without ...

    We did drive past the block several times in the dark, not realising that the parking bays were situated behind the building and not actually on the street (accessed via a narrow entrance between the buildings). The living/dining room was spacious with comfortable seating alongside a fully equipped kitchen and everything was spotlessly clean as were both bathrooms. The double bed was also extremely comfortable. Despite the cold weather the apartment was at a pleasant temperature without needing to tweak any heating settings. The only fault was being unable to fully switch off the kitchen spotlights - presumably due to a worn dimmer switch? The walk into Salcombe was pleasant and took less than 10 minutes, perhaps a bit longer on return up the hill. Plenty of interesting shops and pubs in the centre too. A very pleasant week and great base for exploring south Devon.

The property

4 Combehaven is a well-presented ground-floor apartment, situated within a short walk of Salcombe’s bustling restaurants, upmarket shops and famous waterside.

This apartment has been renovated with an open plan kitchen / lounge / dining room featuring a New England style granite kitchen, small square dining table and chairs, and large glass doors opening onto a terrace and garden.

Amenities include, an AEG gas hob and oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The lounge has a sofa, hi-fi, television (freeview) and a DVD player. Two bedrooms in total, including a master with a double bed, built-in wardrobe and door to the garden as well as an en suite with Bette steel bath, wash basin, w.c, heated towel rail and shaver point.

The second bedroom has two twin beds and a door to the garden.

A separate shower room is adjacent.

Outside, there is a front garden and south-facing terrace with tables and chairs.

A car parking space is reserved for this property on site.

4 Combehaven is a fantastic base for exploring Salcombe’s sandy beaches, walking the South West Coast Path, or trying watersports such as sailing, stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

No trailers or boats of any description are permitted in the parking area.

Unfortunately, it is not permitted to charge electrical vehicles at this property.

Barbecues (including disposable) are not permitted at any of the apartments.
