    There really isn't much we could fault that could be fixed. The kitchen is well appointed, rooms are spacious and outside space is lovely. Only downside for us was the stairs and gate at the bottom being a bit of a faff with a buggy and the lack of good parking to leave your car overnight but appreciate that's a Salcombe problem rather than a property one. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone. As a general tip we would recommend arriving after 5.30/6 when the shops are closed as there's usually quite a few places you can pull in very near by to empty the car which is worth considering if you've got quite a lot of stuff. Otherwise there's the parking lot a couple of minutes away (which doesn't sound a long way but adds up if you're going back and forth)

The property

Positioned at the head of Island Street, in a central location to enjoy Salcombe’s shops, restaurants and nearby sandy beaches, Home is semi-detached property with four good-sized bedrooms.

A series of sandstone steps lead up from Island Street to the front door, into a tiled hall. This property has a fully equipped kitchen with four-ring gas hob, electric oven fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, breakfast bar with stools and TV.

Wander through the kitchen door, up the steps to the rear terrace boasting a stunning'Mediterranean' feel garden with sago palms, banana palms, tree ferns, grape vines, date palms and other exotic plants.

Garden furniture and large gas barbecue suggests balmy Summer dining alfresco.

The lounge has a large comfortable corner sofa to sink into whilst you catch up on world events on the TV (with Freesat), or lose yourself in a good DVD, The archway takes you through to the dining room with plenty of table space and chairs for 8 people, the gas fired 'wood' burner adds a cosy touch on cooler evenings.

Also at this level is a study with TV, oak desk and chair. Four inviting bedrooms, all on the first floor await you.

The Master bedroom has a King-size bed, fitted wardrobes, TV, and en suite wet room, shower, w.c.

hand basin, heated towel rail and under floor heating.

Second bedroom offers a double bed, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedrooms three and four are both twin rooms both with wardrobes and drawers.

All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided. . There is also a separate shower/cloak (adjacent to the kitchen) and a family bathroom on the first floor.

Wi-Fi is available.

There is a playful snug on the top floor attic space complete with sofa, TV and Playstation 3. Home is perfect for holidaying with family and friends with so much to offer, from the beautiful golden beaches of Salcombe to the many attractions of the surrounding areas.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
