    So much so that we almost turned straight back around to go home. The house was not up to your usual cleanliness, let alone how clean it should've been in the midst of a global pandemic. I totally understand that this puts more pressure on you, but you did also have an extended period of time on changeover day to ensure the appropriate cleanliness was met. The floors, carpets and sofas were dirty, there was dirty crockery and cutlery, the bins had not been emptied and I cannot even begin to describe the state of the high chair. The beds were very uncomfortable with bedding that didn't fit, so what should been a comfortable, relaxing first holiday with our 10 month old, was certainly not and left much to be desired. I really don't like to leave negative feedback but felt very strongly that this was not to your usual standard. I look forward to your response. Thanks Sarah

The property

Boasting views towards Batson Creek and beyond, Miloran is a spacious and well presented semi-detached house, offering spacious accommodation.

The property is located just a 5-10 minute walk from Salcombe’s waterfront, restaurants.

Stunning sandy beaches of North Sands and South Sands are just a mile away, making it an ideal holiday home for a family, or perhaps two couples, eager to explore the local coast and countryside. The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped, enjoying a small breakfast bar, behind which is a dining area, and double doors leading onto the lower terrace.

Additionally, on the ground floor is a utility area and shower room.

The sitting room boasts a bay window with views towards Batson Creek, and is comfortably furnished.

With two bedrooms in total, the main bedroom has a King-size bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds that can be linked together on request.

There is a third smaller room to be used as either as a nursery or day room for children.

Additional single futon can be supplied at an extra cost.

The shared family bathroom is situated on the first floor.

To the rear of the property is a small furnished terrace area (accessed via the kitchen), with steps leading up through the sloping garden to a sunny decking area.

Further steps leading up to a parking area for one car.

In total, parking for three cars is provided, with space for a small boat trailer. Wireless broadband is provided.

Up to two well-behaved pets are permitted.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
