    The best location of any rental property in Salcombe (and I've stayed in dozens over the years) - it's been designed to maximise the magnificent views of the estuary and town. Previous feedback has referred to parking space - we parked 3 good sized cars without any difficulty.

The property

Quayside is a beautifully presented holiday home, in a spectacular position on the waterfront in picturesque Salcombe, boasting stunning and uninterrupted views over the water and up and down the estuary, towards the sandy beaches of East Portlemouth and out to sea.

Situated just off Fore Street, with a secure private drive, the front door leads into an entrance lobby.

Stairs lead up to the first-floor kitchen/dining/sitting room - a stunning open plan area with wonderful views.

The kitchen is beautifully designed with Neff and Siemens appliances.

There is also an attractive oak breakfast bar and a comfortably styled living area.

The stunning internal balcony/dining area is glazed on all three sides, with huge sliding doors and incredible, uninterrupted views over the estuary and out to sea.

There are four bedrooms in total.

The superb en suite master bedroom suite has amazing water views from the raised super-King size bed, plus a beautifully tiled en suite.

The second double bedroom has two single beds and views over Whitestrand.

A third offers options for up to four children as it contains two sets of full-size bunk beds.

Finally, on the second floor, there is a further en suite bedroom with two single beds, plus an adjacent family bathroom.

There are also two cloakrooms, one on first floor and one on second floor, a utility area, and secure off-road parking for up to three cars. Set in a highly sought-after, central Salcombe location, Quayside offers the perfect destination for an extended family holiday.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
