“This is the second time I've stayed here, It must be good for me to come back.”
Wonderful small bungalow, everything pleasant, couple of minor details that could improve the overall stay. The iron leaks like a sieve, so make sure most of your cloths are pre ironed. The Extractor hood didn't seem to work, when cooking (Bacon & Sausages) although most evenings we ate out. Bath leaks a little around the partition, but a a well placed bath mat sorts this out. Beds are too soft for my liking, something slightly firmer would have been better, but if you want a good nights sleep ...

Beds are too soft for my liking, something slightly firmer would have been better, but if you want a good nights sleep this is the place to be. Locally, the food in the Hope and Anchor is expensive for what you get, the beer is OK. The Cove next door has a more selective range of craft beers but check the price before ordering I ordered after a taste, only to find the beer £10 per pint. Most expensive drink ever (Won't do that again). Food is reasonable. Best Fish and chips is down by Slapton Sands and Torcross Beach, at the Start Bay Inn. Again, reasonable prices, but cooked in Oil rather than Beef dripping (Us Yorkshire folk can't get away from good quality) Slapton Sands (Torcross end) the road is closed from just after the tank, due to a bad storm washing everything away. If you want good food locally, The Village Inn in Thurlstone is excellent, slightly pricey, but not extortionate. The staff are quick, whity and have a sense of humor (Madeline is the one to ask for). Would I recommend staying here again, definitely...
