Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the property's lovely setting. We're sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to highlight these points. Regarding the smell you mentioned in the lounge/dining room, we would like to reassure future guests that the chalet has never had any damp issues and there is no damp present in the property. As this concern has not been raised by previous guests, it is possible that the smell may have been caused by the rug having recently been cleaned. Nevertheless, we take all feedback seriously and will thoroughly investigate the matter to ensure the chalet remains fresh, comfortable and enjoyable for all our guests. We are arranging for a shower mat to be provided to improve comfort and safety in the shower area, and we will also be reviewing your comments regarding the mattress although recently a deep mattress topper was added for additional comfort. Thank you again for your comments and for staying with us. Property Owner

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
