Great location, facilities etc. But the cleanliness was poor. Food debris on the table, sofas and skirting not cleaned. Even smelly old washing in the washer!!!!!

We have loved staying at Beachstone - with the views, convenience, and modern decor - It really has enhanced our stay. Also got to know the lovely neighbours at no. 5 and we are looking forward to renting again very soon.

Facilities were second to none, everything you could wish for was available for an extremely comfortable stay. Brilliantly clean. Safe,locked car parking space for 1 car only. Location wise couldnt be better, was slightly worried about being above a Co-op but there was no noise or disruption experienced. Good choice of eateries just around the corner. Would highly recommend the Crab Shed just a few yards away. Lots of walks to take and nice choice of beaches. All in all we had a superb holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend.

The only thing we would say is, it might be nice for a representative of the company to meet you on arrival at the property and show you around. For such a nice property we think this would just add an extra element to the booking.

Its a great location and a perfect holiday house for family and entertaining guests. The tides have also been perfect for us to bring our boat down after the beach to offload all the beach gear. The kitchen is perfect for cooking, just one appliance missing-a veg peeler. Overall an incredible stay!!

The property
This wonderfully-presented, 5 star Visit England, end-terrace property rests within the popular resort of Salcombe, offering a traditional seaside holiday for a large group of family and friends.
Beachstone, 6 Island Place is conveniently situated above the Co-op convenience store, comes with uninterrupted views across the moorings to Snape’s Point and is within striking distance to Salcombe’s boutique shops, bars, eateries and Batson slipway.
Upon entering the property, be welcomed into an open-plan sitting area, dining area and kitchen, which form a single contemporary space which opens seamlessly onto the front and rear terraced gardens.
Fulfilling your culinary needs is the well-equipped kitchen which benefits from a dishwasher, a built-in fridge and an oven.
The stylish kitchen is beautiful contrasted by the dining table which was made from solid oak beams, oozing charm.
Look forward to unwinding within the sitting area, where you can soak up the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows with a cup of tea in hand or tune into the TV.
As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the well-presented bedrooms, each continuing the coastal theme.
There is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit any group.
During a summer's evening, open up the patio doors within the living room to discover a spacious terrace area, where you can soak up the views further and enjoy the sea air.

SALCOMBE
Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.
Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
